Round-up Pull
Does anyone know where or when the Round-up Pull will be happening and if so does anyone know of a good hotel that we could stay at. Appreciate any info you can give us.
Let Bill know and he'll inform me.
Thanks

Thank you very much, I went to the website and found what I was looking for. Thank God for this message board. Whenever I need to know anything about horse pulling all I need to do is post a message on this board. Again Thank you for your prompt reply.

Has anyone else noticed the extent that the eastern draft horse club has gone to promote this years round-up? Very commendable. Just have to wonder where they have been the last 50 round-ups? What makes this round-up so special?

Yes horsepuller57 that sounds so much better than driving 300 miles north I will be there. Rumor has it Mr Grover is expecting a lot of horses there

I'm headed for Cummington also. I've been a member of the EDHA for many years but can't bring myslef to support the roundup this year. Too much deception.

Do any of you guys think that if we went to Cummington it would be a better contest? We are coming from Canada and usually go to the Round-up but looks like Cummington would be another choice. I think that it would shave off a couple of hours on our trip?

For those of you who may not have decided between the roundup and Grovers pull in Cummington. It appears that the majority of top heavyweight teams will be in Cummington on Saturday. It may prove to be the best heavyweight class in new england this year. Not hearing good things about the turnout of top heavy horses for the roundup

for those of you who are being greedy with this it used to be the round-up was held in multiple cities and states through out New England there has never been a round -up held in vermont. I think it was long over due you all are being very Selfish with where you want it. I live in Vermont myself and its about time the Round up was held in vermont so what if Gary Gilmond pushed for it to be in VT close to his home. You'd push to have it held in NH close to your home right so if you need to go back to your house to get something it aint that far right? I dont think alot of you understand what it can do for other cities or states to have it held in other states. It gives the Public a chance to see a horsepull if they have never seen one before in that area and it also gives other horsepullers that probably haven't been to a round up before. Now the pull that was down to Cummington the only reason why it was held there was because folks didnt want to travel to the other end of New England an I give Props to Gary Gilmond holding it at the Champlain Valley fair it has the facilities to Support the Round-up why not go your part of the Orginization and a member right then go. I also give props to Jim Grover he did alot in a short amount of time sure there werent alot of horses that turned out there but it was an okay pull I attnded both of the pulls. Now a comparioson between the 2 and its my opinion but here it is the facilities at champlain valley expo center can support 3x the amount then Cummington could ever thionk about holding they have the Buildings the water hook ups and facilities for everyone who wants to stay overnite. I don't Understand Folks will go to Keene, Hopkinton, Swanzey or where ever an then go and pull in ME if they live in CT or RI and if they Live in ME they'll travel south to pull in other states whats the difference??????
