Who does make the decision in Pennsylvania?
Will someone please explain who makes the unsportsmanlike decisions to band all other pullers except Pennsylvania from the farm show? I wish Mr.Yoder would band Pennsylvania pullers from Florida! That would change the unsportsmanlike conduct in Pennsylvania.

As I understand it the Pennsylvania Farm Show is an event where the state recognizes the best of Pennsylvania agricultural. The state uses it as a marketing tool. I don't believe any competition at the farm show is open to out of staters. It isn't a conscience effort by the horsepull committee to exclude out of staters. If I'm wrong or someone can provide more insight please do so.

"hosspowr" is correct. This coming year of the PA Farm Show will be the 102nd year and it was and continues to be an event that showcases only Pennsylvania products and livestock. It states in all of the Pulling rules that horses must be owned by a Pennsylvania resident and must be driven by a Pennsylvania resident - no leasing allowed.

The state of Pennsylvania does have a Light Weight and a Heavy Weight Pull at the Keystone International Livestock Expo (KILE) which is held in the beginning of every October. This pull is open to anyone and pays even more premium money than the PA Farm Show. Usually these KILE Pulls are lightly attended and we invite any Puller to consider participating.
